Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Greet all incoming truck drivers at the scale house;
  • Open and close each disposal ticket in the scale system;
  • Scale inbound and outbound materials and direct drivers to appropriate loading dock or offloading area;
  • Ensure trucks are loaded to legal road weights in Canada and the USA and weights are optimized;
  • Ensure weights of outbound loads are correct and direct shipping staff to adjust as necessary;
  • Prepare operational reports for management and customers;
  • Handling customer inquiries with courteous, professional phone skills;
  • Scheduling of all incoming loads with the production team; and
  • Data entry for accounting processes.

Requirements & Prerequisites

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform duties;
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel);
  • Excellent keyboarding skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Experience in the waste management and recycling industry an asset; and
  • A friendly personality combined with a roll-up your sleeves and get it done attitude”!
