Job Description

Hours: Mon-Fri (8:00am-4:30pm)

Wage: $22/Hour to start; $24/Hour after 3 month probationary period

Workplace is an industrial/commercial setting.

This job entails daily cleaning of lunch rooms, washrooms, toilet stalls, shower houses, offices, laboratories, warehouse and shop areas. Duties include sweeping, mopping, wiping, spraying/scrubbing showers, refilling soaps/bathroom products, sanitizing surfaces, buffing floors, washing walls, cleaning lockers, doors, carpets and mirrors. Stocking of cleaning materials, maintenance of cleaning equipment and other upkeep of storage rooms and closets are part of regular duties.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Types of cleaning chemicals used are: Mineral Tamer, degreasers (TE, Levasol), Windex, PDQ medical disinfectant, Bleach mix, Comet

*Successful applicants will have a non-compete clause where they cannot bid on the contract or work for another company who holds the contract at the plant for 2 years after last day worked

*On-the-job procedures are to remain confidential.

The new hire will receive thorough training, and work independently as “their own boss” on-site.

Requirements & Prerequisites

Hardhat, non-slip steel toe safety shoes (or boots), protective eyewear, orange/reflective safety vest and a face mask are mandatory. Long sleeves and pants must be worn on site.
WHIMIS training required.
3 Vacation Weeks/ year OR 15 Days (NON PAID) to be booked and approved after the probationary period.
Must be available to work holidays
