Job Description
City Window & Glass is seeking an experienced glazier service technician for commercial & high-rise residential.
OVERVIEW – THE POSITION:
Thermal unit replacement, curtain wall, structural glazing, 1/2″ glass door service and installation, aluminum and glass door system service and installation, window repair/retrofit, storefront glass, fabrication metal/glass.
REGULAR DUTIES INCLUDE:
Service and installation at various jobsites across Hamilton the GHA, and Burlington. Cut glass, mirror to size, take accurate measurements using a tape measure for ordering materials, installation and replacement of vinyl windows, glass, screens, screen doors, windows, sealed units, patio door systems, hollow metal doors and frames, weather-stripping and all types of window and commercial door hardware etc.
Requirements & Prerequisites
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Effective oral and written communications skills
Attention to detail and good time management are mandatory traits
A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial work environment
Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
Must have a valid G license and clean driving record.
We are offering a full time position which will include on call duties and full union benefits (after 3 months of employment), and competitive salary based on candidates experience.
