Job Description

Operation of CNC Plasma machine and taking material and cutting / trimming properly to spec with minimal material waste
Maintain machine to make sure it functions properly
Conduct quality checks as needed
Maintain steel inventory
Other shop support as required / on Plasma downtime – run bandsaw, off load trucks, assist with shipping & handling, etc.

Requirements & Prerequisites

Experience operating a CNC Plasma cutting machine and place work piece onto a table with jib or crane

* Experience in heavy industry / aggregate industry a bonus

* Able to read blueprints / follow work orders

* Willingness to learn brake press operation

* Good communication skills – verbal and written

* Ability to follow safe work practices; any Health and Safety training an asset

* Good attendance and safety record

* Team player willing to jump in and assist anywhere in the shop as needed

* Willing and able to work assigned shift

How To Apply

position pay rate is $24/hr to $28/hr depending on experience
