Forklift Operator (Reach Truck)
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Required to rotate, record, and pick packaging daily according to production schedule in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring FIFO is followed.
- Will be responsible for recording lot numbers of all packaging picked
- Must be capable of completing all production and Q.A. paperwork
- Will be required to assist in daily housekeeping duties
- Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.
- Will be required to report any shortages to supervisor
- May be required to assist with annual inventory
- Maintains a high standard of Health and Safety, strictly adheres to SOPs & Quality and Food Safety
- Strictly adhere to SOPs pertaining to Quality & Food Safety, must follow Company Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and SOP’s
- Complies with Safety regulations as stated within the Health & Safety Act
- Forklift Battery Maintenance Management
Requirements & Prerequisites
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be flexible & a team player, and can work with minimum supervision
- Will be required to perform physically demanding work
- Basic mathematics skills required
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Office, SAP, and Windows
- Must follow all Health and Safety rules of the company consistently, report safety violations and attend safety training
- Must comply with GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation SOP’s & maintain good housekeeping
- Monitors and fills in all required documentation
- Required to do work in cold food safety environment (< 4 deg C).
- Repetitive lifting of equipment, tools etc. (up to 50 lbs.) is to be expected
- Use of, with and around mobile equipment is required
OTHER
- Adhere to all the Company’s rules, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties / jobs throughout the plant as assigned by Supervisor
- Must be willing to work weekend shifts
