Job Description

Butler Fleet Maintenance performs maintenance and reactive repairs on a wide variety of heavy on and off road equipment, truck and tower cranes, material handling, diesel trucks and trailers .We are a steadily growing, owner operated shop based out of Pier 12-14 at the Hamilton Harbor. Our mobile repair technicians service customers from the Niagara Peninsular to the GTA. We can offer a extremely rewarding and flexible career path for those interested in Heavy equipment and or Truck repair or part time employment for those winding down their careers but are not yet ready to retire.

Primary duties would  include  the pickup of S/O parts and shop inventory from suppliers in Hamilton and the surrounding GTA area.

Delivering parts to the suppliers for repair or return, making sure the correct paper work is attached.

Helping with the pickup and return of customer vehicles.

Maintaining correct inventory levels in all locations. Organizing and stocking inventory as needed.

Maintaining shop vehicles, checking fluid and fuel levels daily. Recording daily mileage

Recording fluids and or parts and fuel used to maintain the vehicle.

Reporting any mechanical issues with shop vehicles that need to be addressed.

Utilizing the wash bay to keep shop vehicles clean,

General housekeeping duties as needed within the shop.


Requirements & Prerequisites

Languages Spoken and Written:

English

Education:

No degree, certificate or diploma necessary.

Experience:

Able to drive a light pickup truck and or car required. No other experience necessary, we will train the right applicant.

Specific Skills

Able to operate a variety of vehicles, cars and pickup trucks, forklift experience would be an asset.

Able to keep reliable records for inventory management.

Able to utilize hand and power tools, pick orders and stock as needed.

Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Organize and maintain inventory,

Make labels and attach to goods,

Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Good communication skills.

A team player, dependability, reliability, adaptability, creativity, energetic, hardworking, has integrity, positive attitude, proactive and a quick learner,  one or all are considered to be positive and important skills.

Up to 50 lbs

Work Setting

Heavy equipment repair shop.

Indoor and outdoor requirements.

Warehouse environment.

Driving vehicles.

Vehicle and Equipment Experience

Cars and  Light trucks. Fork lift experience would be considered an asset.

Minimum G license required.

Own Tools/Equipment

Steel-toed safety boots will be required.
