Job Description
General Description
Responsible for organizing and administering one or more research projects within required deadlines under the direction of a Principal Investigator or project leader.
Representative Duties & Responsibilities
Assistance with the preparation of research study materials such as protocol development, patient information documents, case report forms etc.
Assist with preparation of regulatory submissions (REB, Health Canada, etc)
Assistance with grant applications and revisions
Assistance with key meetings and materials preparation including progress reports
Assist with the collection, entry, verification, management, analysis, and reporting of data. Use statistical software to analyze data and interpret results.
Design and maintain databases, data collection forms, error checking methods and related programs for efficient collection, analysis, and reporting.
Liaise between the project centre and remote project sites and personnel.
Ensure that the relevant research methodology is applied and all research material is handled in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
Develop presentations and present information and training sessions to project personnel and project participants. Keep project participants informed of project progress through regular reports and newsletters.
Gather and compile information and data required for the preparation of scientific papers, abstracts, and graphs. Conduct literature searches.
Oversee the extraction and compilation of data required for reports and disseminate data to research groups and collaborating partners.
Respond to inquiries received from project personnel regarding relevant project issues and procedures.
Administrative tasks as required
Adherence to Good Clinical Practice guidelines and other standards
Working effectively with a wide range of collaborators and projects
Requirements & Prerequisites
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or Diploma
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study. Requires 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Microsoft Windows
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information is mandatory
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take initiative with proactive activities
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to organize workload are essential
Demonstrated ability to be capable of independent assessment and judgment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical
Ability to write original text for descriptive documents, reports, and grants
