The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) is a community-based natural resource management agency that works to protect, enhance, and sustain healthy watersheds. Summary of Duties

The Park Services Representative is responsible for providing customer service to visitors of the conservation area and park facilities, responding to general inquiries and providing park information, rules and regulations. This role will attend to facility and site bookings. as well as assisting with area programs and events as required.

This role is seasonal in nature with expectations of full-time hours from April to October 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to conservation area visitors regarding conservation area services, programs, facility bookings, admission, retail and membership pass sales and conservation area rules and regulations
Oversee gatehouse operations including cash, POS and reservation systems
Implement facility bookings and administer contracts for facility rental agreements
Assist in implementing business and marketing strategies for the conservation area
Suggest revenue-generating programs and services to Park Manager
Assist with NPCA programs and events and setup for facility rentals

Salary Range: $28.24 – $29.358/hr (35 hours/week)

Requirements & Prerequisites

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in Recreation and Leisure, Hospitality, Administration or a related field
Five (5) years of experience in Customer Service
Experience operating POS and reservation systems
Current knowledge of computer applications
Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and diffuse situations
First Aid and CPR C an asset
Must be available to work full-time hours from April to October 2024.
Applicants will be assigned to one location but may be asked to work at any of the locations listed below. Please indicate your location preference(s) as part of your application.

If expressing interested in either our Chippawa, Long Beach or Ball’s Falls locations, evening and overnight shifts may be required for our park roles.
