THE ROLE

Join Triovest as a full-time Maintenance Technician for Centre on Barton in Hamilton, ON. The primary responsibilities of this role are the day-to-day maintenance and general up-keep of the grounds and building(s) including preventative maintenance programs. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Overseeing general tidiness of property (95% exterior & 5% interior) and assisting contracted staff with seasonal duties including landscaping, mowing, snow and garbage removal.
  • The daily pickup of garbage, cardboard and recycling.
  • Planning, prioritizing, performing and monitoring preventative maintenance, including: painting, plumbing and other minor repairs as required.
  • Responding to and completing service requests in a timely manner.
  • Performing daily inspections of the property (internal/external).
  • Assisting with the set-up and take-down of promotional events.
  • Working outdoors during different weather conditions.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of maintenance experience in a commercial or retail building.
  • Knowledge of provincial health and safety standards and WHMIS.
  • A basic First Aid Certificate.
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform work on ladders.
  • A valid driver’s license with no infractions.
  • Must be available to work some afternoons and weekends.
