The Maintenance Technician is stationed at our 1640 Brampton St., Hamilton location and is responsible for completing general repairs to conveyers and other equipment as assigned.

What we Expect:

General repairs to conveyor belts and systems;
Belt tracking and set up;
Remove/Install motors and drives;
Replace/repair, belts, clips, rips, return, idler, through rollers, bearings, etc.
Welding, torching, grinding and fabricating as assigned;
Complete all assigned preventative/predictive maintenance;
Trouble shoot mechanical break downs root cause analysis);
Will assist in the maintenance and repair of Shredder, Shear, Non-Ferrous Downstream, Rail Breaker and all Mobile Equipment;
Thorough completion of assigned documentation e.g. daily time sheets and log books;
Respond to emergency breakdowns which may occur outside of regular work schedule;
Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor as required.
Hours of work:

Position will train on day shift Monday to Friday, (7:00AM – 3:45PM for one month)
Following the training period, position will rotate, Monday to Friday day shift (7:00AM – 3:34PM and afternoon shift (3:30PM – 11:45PM) (Schedule subject to change based on operational requirements)
You have:

Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP’s Core Values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Team and Pride
Previous STICK (SMAW) & MIG (GMAW) welding experience
Must be comfortable working at heights from time to time
Metal Fabrication experience is preferred
Previous experience using hand held power tools will be required
Basic tools will be required e.g. socket set, screwdrivers, hammer, pliers
Previous experience interpreting and fabricating from technical drawings is preferred
Ability/willingness to work beyond regularly scheduled hours to resolve emergency breakdowns
