Job Title: Junior Landscape Construction Superintendent
Location: Hamilton, Ontario
Pay: $40,000 – 45,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
The Junior Construction Superintendent aids in coordinating and supervising all construction activities. He/she will direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

- Assist with the scheduling and utilizing both labour crews and equipment efficiently.
- Assist in overseeing sub-contractors and Oakridge employees at job sites assigned to ensure work is completed correctly within budget.
- Assist with and monitor the delivery of all materials relating to the job being managed.
- Meet with clients as required. This included onsite as well as off-site meetings.
- Maintain strong communication with forepersons and assist in resolving site problems and issues.
Requirements & Prerequisites
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of landscaping and construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications.
- Knowledge of the use of various tools, small, and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge and recognition of various materials used in the industry (paving stone, precast wall, concrete, armor stone, etc.)
- Knowledge and recognition of plant material, identification, and proper planting techniques are considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and job safety work habits.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and construction workers.
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract.
- College Diploma or Degree is an asset with a concentration in Construction Management.
