Job Description

Escape Computers is an ever-growing, full-service support system for small businesses within the Greater Hamilton Area and beyond. We currently have clients from Toronto to Brantford to the Niagara Region with primary focus in Hamilton/Burlington and Stoney Creek.

We require for applicants to have the following experience and skills:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with servers, both building as well as maintaining the software on them. You will have experience in VPN, Networking (routers switches and access points), troubleshooting, as well as hardware and software repairs.

• CompTia A+ or equivalent
• Strong problem solving skills to help our clients, as well as exceptional personal communication skills to when working in-person with clients at their own workplace.
• A valid Ontario Driver’s License, with a clean abstract; the successful hire will be given full use of a company vehicle during business hours.

Additional training will be provided to the right applicant.

Some job responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

· Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Windows server environments

· Migrate and maintain email and office services

· Performing network and workstation support and maintenance

· Monitoring of equipment, data backups, systems health, reports, and notifications

· Minimizing downtime at customer sites with a pro-active focus security solutions related to malicious software intrusion

· Product and customer solution development

· Technical writing and documentation including work flows and network diagrams

· Ability to manage time and organize workload effectively across higher priority calls

· Travel for work to locations on a flexible schedule will be expected

· Providing excellent customer service and able to communicate effectively with non-technical clients

· Install ground up wiring and cabling of network cables and Cat5 cables in a neat and efficient manner.

· Install and troubleshoot security cameras, printers etc.

Experience:

· IT Support: 3 years (Required)

· working with Active Directory and Group Policy Management: 3 years (Required)

· working with, VPN, DHCP & DNS: 3 years (Required)

· Server support: 3 years (Required)

· Multiple server version knowledge from 2008 to 2019

· Windows 7 to 10 desktop experience

· Must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (Required)

· Clean Drivers Abstract (Required)

Salary can be adjusted based on the successful candidates level of experience.

Starting wage is $27-$37 hourly based on experience
