Rotek Environmental Inc., a leader in ambient air monitoring in Southern Ontario, is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Technician for our Hamilton location. We will train you for this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air sampling equipment both in-house and at field sites
- Calibrate and test equipment; assemble, install, and commission air monitoring stations
- Manage rental equipment and spare parts inventory
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration at various field locations, including occasional extended travel
- Complete service logs and repair tickets accurately
- Liaise with staff and clients to resolve equipment issues
- Participate in ongoing safety and equipment training; conduct background research as needed
Requirements & Prerequisites
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- Experience with tools, test equipment, and troubleshooting
- Preferred – associate degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechanical
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in industrial and varied climate conditions
- Capable of lifting 25kg and working at heights (up to 3m)
- Knowledge of electrical safety and experience with energized equipment
- Experience with gas cylinders, test, and calibration equipment an asset
