Paramount Safety Consulting Inc. is seeking individuals that are confident, dependable, and competent Health & Safety Coordinators / Officers to join our team of professionals.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring all health and safety legislation is adopted, and maintained at all our client workplaces.
Provide assistance in enforcing policies and procedures as well as planning, training, monitoring, and reviewing the protective and preventative measures required by the Occupational Health & Safety Act, its Regulations and WSIB requirements.
Our ideal candidate must possess the following for consideration;
- Must have a strong passion for Occupational Health & Safety
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Outgoing and approachable personable personality
- Have the ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to deal with emergency’s
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Other languages are considered an asset
Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Conduct client site specific audits.
Assist management and employees with workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures
Perform site specific training such as H&S Orientations, Pre construction Meetings etc.
Conduct Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis.
Review existing policies and procedures and update according to legislation
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Investigate and document injuries to determine root causes preventative measures.
Assist with the development and review of job hazard assessments, Field Level Risk Assessments.
Post Secondary Degree in Health and Safety (required)

Requirements & Prerequisites
Must posses a diploma in any approvedĀ Occupational Health and Safety Management or equivalent
