Position: Full-time Temporary Cook (9-week Parental Leave Coverage)

Reports to: Team Lead

Contract Length: 9 weeks (Monday December 5th, 2022- Friday February 3rd, 2023)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am to 3pm. Flexibility is required and the successful candidate must commit to working through the holidays. 

Compensation: $22-$24 per hour- based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Opening the kitchen in the morning and preparing for the arrival of volunteers.

• Support the everyday function of the food service program. This will include food preparation and cooking for 300+ meals per day, strictly adhering to safe food handling practices.
• Delegating tasks to volunteers
• Ensuring the highest standard of safety and sanitation is practiced
• Supporting the Team Lead to ensure that supplies are ordered and tasks are completed, each on a daily and weekly basis.
