Purpose and Scope:

Hunter Amenities International Ltd. is looking for a high performing individual to join our Production team. The Compounding Team Lead promotes a safe work environment and ensures that the Compounding department is working efficiently and effectively to support the Production schedules. We are currently recruiting for the night shift (11:00pm-7:15am).

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Supervises the shifts performance of the Compounding Department including safety, cGMP compliance, planning/scheduling, product quality and output.

· Plans and coordinates labour, equipment and facility requirements to meet objectives.

· Manages and improves the profitability, output and efficiency of the department (shift).

· Implements various manufacturing operational projects to improve compounding operations.

· Responsible for administering employee health program, safety and WHMIS.

· Responsible for coordinating pilot batches and participate in troubleshooting problem batches.

· Manages the Compounding inventory system (Assist Scheduling).

· Develops and improves effective and efficient manufacturing procedures and methods.

· Ensures FIFO is respected.

· Oversees the implementation of manufacturing equipment start-up and operation.

· Develops batch instructions based on GMP regulations.

· Maintains alcohol handling systems and regulatory requirements.

· Assigns daily and weekly duties to Compounders and Compounder Helpers.

· Maintains and monitors various processes including RO-water, Boiler-room, Waste Pit, Surfactant silos, tote sanitization, equipment cleaning and sanitization.

· Provides technical support to other departments such as production and QC.

Requirements & Prerequisites

Qualifications and Skills:

· 1+ years of supervision experience.

· 2+ years of compounding experience an asset.

· Knowledge of GMP’s, Health & Safety, WHIMS.

· Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills.

· B.Sc. in Sciences an asset

· Excellent communication and written skills
