Bookkeeper (Full-time, Non-Union)
Job Description

We are currently seeking to fill the position of full time Financial Coordinator. The Financial Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position in accordance with the mission of St. Matthew’s House.
Requirements & Prerequisites
You are right for this role with the following qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a non-profit social services organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Quickbooks, Payroll software (currently Easypay), Keela, Sandbox and other computerized accounting software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience with general office procedures
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
Knowledge of government funding/reporting guidelines and responsibilities
You would assume the following duties and responsibilities
Provide financial support to the Director of Finance and other managers, supervisor’s and staff
Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements using Quick Books
Prepare and process payroll for staff members
Ensure compliance with Collective Agreement and Employment Standards Act
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledger
Process donations and issue charitable receipts, provide monthly donor reports
