Automotive Service Writer
Job Description
Core responsibilities include: Customer Intake: Greeting clients, listening to vehicle concerns, and noting symptoms to help technicians locate problems. Estimating and Quoting: Calculating the costs for parts and labor, and explaining complex mechanical issues in easy-to-understand terms. Job Assignment and Sourcing: Creating detailed work orders and ordering required replacement parts or supplies. Workflow Management: Scheduling appointments, assigning jobs to the best-fit technicians based on skill, and tracking repair progress. Ongoing Communication: Updating customers on repair statuses, obtaining approval for additional, unexpected work, and handling complaints. Billing and Closing: Managing work transactions, processing warranties, and explaining the final charges to the client upon pick-up. Wage Range 18:00 -22.00. Willing to train.
