Housekeeper - Weekends nights
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will work within the mandate and mission of The Salvation Army.
This person will maintain confidentiality with regard to the work place and be respectful to all personnel associated with Booth Centre
Some of the duties and responsibilities are: changing/making dormitory beds; cleaning/disinfecting dormitories and washrooms; general cleaning; mopping hallways daily; laundry as needed
Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Prerequisites
QUALIFICATIONS:
It is preferred that the successful candidate have formal training and life-related experience in the field of janitorial service.
Possess knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and cleaning materials;
Ability to work independently
Ability to use sound judgment
Possess a current First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificates or ability to obtain same
Ability to lift/carry loads up to 40 lbs.
