Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, strives to enhance the quality of life for all who seek assistance and support in our community. Opportunities currently exist with Good Shepherd Centres Seniors Services Programs for the role of:
Personal Support Worker
(Regular Part-time Positions)
The successful applicant will provide personal care and home support services to clients living independently in the community.
Qualifications:
• Current Personal Support Worker Certificate
• Availability to work regularly scheduled day and evening shifts
• Able to work independently and also as part of a team
• Demonstrated flexibility in availability and assigned duties
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Current first Aid and CPR certification
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work within an anti-oppressive framework
• The ability to speak French and/or other languages in addition to English is a definite asset.
