Good Shepherd Centres. Hamilton, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, strives to enhance the quality of life for all who seek assistance and support in our community. An opportunity currently exists at the Family Centre in the role of:

Family Support Worker
(Relief)

Family Support Workers will be responsible for client intake, and providing a range of support services and case management to residents of our Family Centre. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekdays and three out of every four weekends is required.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates for the above positions will be knowledgeable of and have experience working with a range of issues impacting families including homelessness, violence against women and children, immigration, poverty, mental illness and substance use; and will have an understanding of and be comfortable working from a client-centred approach. Experience working in a residential setting is preferred. Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset. CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required. The successful candidate must be available to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
