Job Description

Newport Yacht Club – Stoney Creek Inc. was founded by a group of local boaters and residents who have transformed it into a members’ owned, not for profit club.
The club has 180 slips in a very sheltered setting, with approximately 20 slips available for transient boats, water depth at the docks are 8 to 12 feet. We offer members and transient guest’s moorings for boats up to 50ft with 6ft draft.
Newport Yacht Club, Stoney Creek is seeking a full-time summer harbourmaster to work 4 days a week – 10 hours per day.
Essential Skills:
• Clean and maintain club house including garbage
• Clean and maintain docks and public areas, including power washing docks, operating the pump out equipment, cleaning up any floating debris.
• Landscaping – cut grass and maintain the club gardens
• Assist the maintenance team with minor repairs
• Greet members and visiting guests and assist with inquires or concerns while anticipating their needs
• Monitor the marine radio and assist members docking when assistance is needed
• Assist in docking guests to slips assigned to visiting boats
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards members and visitors
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Director of Property
