Position Objective

The Cheese Associate ensures that all customers at the Cheese counter are served in a courteous and efficient manner. We have a Full Time or Part Time position at our Hamilton Mountain location. The schedule will fluctuate depending on store needs, but will include days, evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that customers in the cheese counter are served in a prompt and courteous manner
Stock counters with cheese and ensure that all product is displayed in a pleasing and appetizing manner
Cut and wrap various cheese products for the counter
Maintains a clean working environment and follows all food safety procedures
Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Prerequisites

Requirements

1-2 years working in a retail food environment
Friendly, energetic and comfortable interacting with customers
Comfortable working in a team environment
Knowledge of cheese and cheese products is considered an asset
Experience working with cheese slicers, overhead wrapping machines and vacuum pack machines is considered an asset

Essential Job Functions

Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 25 pounds, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
