Good Shepherd is seeking individuals with experience in the Healthcare and Social Services field willing to be deployed to various program locations in Hamilton OR Toronto. You will assist a team of dedicated co-workers committed to maintaining essential services in our emergency programs.
We are seeking professionals interested in responding to the needs of people impacted by poverty, homelessness, mental health issues and substance use. Successful candidates will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that facilitates improved health outcomes for the community service users.
These positions require:
• A diploma or certificate in a related field and in good standing from an approved and recognized institution
• Experience working with individuals with complex health and social needs
• Ability to work within an Anti Racism/Anti Oppression framework
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good judgement, problem solving and assessment skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to speak a language in addition to English is an asset
Shift work and/or weekends may be required for some of the positions.
