Job Description

We are a busy, well-established family medical clinic in Dundas with a collaborative, supportive team of physicians and allied health professionals. We pride ourselves on efficient workflows, strong patient care, and a respectful workplace culture.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and confident working in a fast-paced primary care environment.

***PS Suite experience is MANDATORY for this role. Candidates WITHOUT PS Suite experience WILL NOT be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient reception: check-in, check-out, phone coverage, and appointment booking
  • Managing physician schedules and advanced access booking
  • EMR documentation using PS Suite (mandatory)
  • Handling referrals, faxes, Ocean eReferrals, and follow-ups
  • Triaging incoming patient calls appropriately
  • Processing forms, insurance requests, and reports
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with PHIPA
  • Supporting daily clinic operations and team workflows

Wage: $21–22/hour depending on experience; Benefits: Health Spending Account

Days & Hours of Work: Mon – Thurs: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:30am – 1:00pm


Requirements & Prerequisites

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on PS Suite experience (mandatory)
  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma or equivalent healthcare office experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario primary care workflows
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism
  • Familiarity with OHIP billing, referrals, and lab workflows is an asset
