Days & Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 6:30am start time, Occasional Saturdays

Lawn Maintenance Crew Member:
Pay: $19 – $23 per hour, depending on experience
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure all the necessary equipment is located and properly stored or restrained within the trailer before leaving each site.
- Inspect all equipment confirming that they are greased, fueled appropriately, and in good working order.
- Work on projects with a consistently high standard of quality.
- Run lawn mowers to maintain lawns in a neat and tidy appearance.
- Remove weeds from planting areas, pots, driveways, parking areas, etc.
- Pick up litter before mowing any area.
- Remove grass clippings from hard surfaces as well as planting areas.
- Trim shrubs and trees as required.
- Plant flowers and plants when needed.
- When using power equipment ensure that you have gasoline, mixed gas, or diesel on-site.
- Maintain positive and open communications with the Foreperson, Superintendents, Owners, PMs, General Contractors, etc.
- Will be responsible for various types of work and required to complete tasks assigned by the foreperson.
- Communicate daily with the foreperson and other crew members regarding tasks, schedules, and concerns.
Landscape Construction Crew Member:
Pay: $20 – $25 per hour, depending on experience
JOB DUTIES:
- The job involves lifting, bending, digging, raking, and using a wheelbarrow, shovel, rake, and other tools.
- Ability to dig holes (when needed), place soils, plant trees, and shrubs, etc.
- Trim shrubs and evergreens.
Horticulturalist:
Pay: $23 – $28 per hour, depending on experience/certification
Potential Union Placement after successful probationary period
JOB DUTIES:
Functions of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Train and assist staff to ensure plant material is being installed correctly as per proper horticultural practices.
- Ensure plant material is handled and transported properly to reduce damage and ensure proper tarping techniques are being performed.
- Train and assist staff on how to properly prune and eliminate any potentially hazardous branches.
- Ensure plant material is receiving the proper amount of water and is on a regular water schedule.
- Ensure proper soils and mulches are being used when planting and that the correct depths are being installed.
- Visit various plant nurseries to assess plant material.
- Tag necessary plant material for various landscape projects.
- Visit various maintenance sites and train and ensure proper maintenance techniques are being performed.
- Assist with landscape maintenance, restoration, and design.
- Identify and treat potential pests or diseases.
- Provide plant care advice to other all team members and clients.
- Train and assist with fertilizing sod, plant material, and applying herbicides.
- There will be a physical component to this position (i.e., planting, bending, kneeling)
Requirements & Prerequisites
Lawn Maintenance Crew Member:
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work. We are NOT located on a bus route!
- 1 year of related experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of proper mowing, trimming, edging, and weed removal techniques is an asset
- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions
Landscape Construction Crew Member:
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work. We are NOT located on a bus route!
- Standard equipment and tool knowledge
- Ability to operate a skid steer or mini excavator an asset
- Ability to cut stone, lay interlock, retaining wall knowledge/ability to plant trees
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to work 10 hours + shifts
Horticulturalist:
- Must have a valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation as you will be required to travel to different job sites independently
- 3-5 Years Experience in landscaping or working with various types of plants
- Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or a related field or equivalent experience
- A pesticide license is required
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
- Eye for detail
