JOB SUMMARY 

The Olde Angel Inn features a restaurant, bar, and inn. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operation. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and exceptional operation of all aspects of our establishment, including guaranteeing guest satisfaction.  

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day activities, managing staff, maintaining high service standards, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, hospitality, and organizational skills, which will enable them to create a memorable experience for all our guests.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Operations  

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and inn. 
  • Develop and manage budgets to control costs and optimize profitability.  
  • Oversee pricing, inventory control, and ordering of supplies to maintain cost-effectiveness. 
  • Track financial performance, analyze revenue and expenses, and prepare regular financial reports to communicate with ownership. 
  • Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales.  
  • Plan new, and update existing menus, ensuring a variety of high-quality food and beverage options.  
  • Ensure establishment complies with relevant legislation and regulations.  
  • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of establishment.  
  • Build strong relationships with customers by exceeding expectations and handling concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.  

Sales 

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the business and expand its reach.  
  • Liase with sales representatives and suppliers.  
  • Have a solid understanding of products and services offered by The Olde Angel Inn. 
  • Implement promotions/special events to increase business and drive revenue. 

Management 

  • Oversee productivity, task execution, and customer service practices of all employees. 
  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as required.  
  • Foster a positive work environment for all employees.  
  • Hire, train and evaluate the performance of employees, ensuring expectations are communicated regularly. 
  • Liaise with owner, ensuring consistent communication regarding operational matters.  

Requirements & Prerequisites

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience 

  • 3-5 years of restaurant management experience required or equivalent. 
  • Experience in food service, customer service, or restaurant environment required.  

Education 

  • Smart Serve certificate required.  
  • Food Handler Certification required. 
  • Health and Safety and First Aid, preferred.
