Job Description

We are looking for a General Labourer for our Hannon, ON location. The position is Full Time Seasonal with the possibility of leading to Full Time Permanent. Please note that our location is not bus accessible, therefore you must have your own transportation.

Review drawings and work orders to ensure the correct material has been selected prior to beginning production of the parts
Accurate cutting
Verify dimensions of parts as fabricating is in process and upon completion
Cleaning of parts when required
Labelling, packaging, boxing and/or skidding of product as instructed by supervisor
Providing accurate dimensions and weight (length, width, height) of boxes and/or skid
Recording of weight / dimensions on paperwork to be given to the Plant Manager / Plant Supervisor for verification
Maintain safety and direct maintenance of good housekeeping in work area
Other duties as assigned

Days and Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

Wage: Commensurate with Experience

Requirements & Prerequisites

Completion of High School
Some experience with plastics is an asset, but not essential
Some experience in cutting and drilling materials
Some experience on Table Saws, Drill Presses and Handheld Routers
Knowledge of measuring tools such as Measuring Tape, etc. both imperial and metric measurements
Ability to use a lathe is helpful, but not essential
Ability to read drawings and perform manual operations that may be required
Physical capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. (alone)
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to successfully perform duties as instructed
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently, as well as working with a team
Motivation to learn and understand all Safety procedures
