Driver & Machine Operator - 23 007
Job Description
Both positions are eligible for benefits after 6 months of employment.
Driver
Wage: $18/hour to start
Days & Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Bus Accessible: Yes, but as this is a driving position, candidates must have G-class driver’s license.
- Load/unload trucks with product
- Complete circle checks on vehicles
- Take inventory of products on truck
- Deliver and pickup products from customer locations.
- Proper tagging of products
Machine Operator
Wage: $18/hour to start
Days & Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (occasionally Saturdays), 6am-2:30pm
Bus Accessible: Yes
Primarily managing and overseeing a team of 26 staff members working on the wash floor, as well as assisting with machine maintenance
Requirements & Prerequisites
Driver
- G-class driver’s license is required.
- Must have at least 3 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment as there is no air conditioning.
Machine Operator
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment as there is no air conditioning.
- Must be mechanically inclined – “a jack of all trades”
- Must be a quick thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working with others in a team environment
- Experience with industrial machine maintenance is an asset.
- Supervisory/managerial experience is an asset.
- G-class driver’s license not required, but is a strong asset
