Job Description

Child Care Worker will perform some or all of the following duties:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of children.
2. Ensure the children are safe at all times.
3. Develop age-appropriate activities for children.
4. Follow parents’ and/or guardian guidelines.
5. Lead children in activities by telling or reading stories, and teaching songs.
6. Observe children for signs of emotional or physical problems.
7. Meal preparation and clean up.
8. Guide and assist children with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
9. Guide and assist with proper hand washing.
10. Assist children with homework.
11. Discuss progress of children with parents/guardian and or supervisor.
12. Attend assigned meetings to discuss the visit.
13. Attend meetings and workshops to develop and discuss new techniques to handle crisis situations.
14. Document all relevant information for each visit.
