Job Description

An opportunity at Good Shepehrd Centres – Women’s Services, Cathedral Overflow Shelter currently exists in the role of:

Case Manager

Temporary Full Time (up to 6 month contract)

 

The successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and non-residential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment.

Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting women including abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use. Experience working in a residential setting is preferred. A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity is essential. A second language is an asset. Applicants also require a related post-secondary education and C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified). Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license (G2) is also an asset.

The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule. Women of diverse communities are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.

Hours of work:Up to 80 hours every 2 weeks – Monday- Friday Days, Afternoons and Nights
