Job Description

HCC is dedicated to exploring fresh approaches to choral music that reduce barriers, and encourage diversity and inclusivity. Celebrating 47 years of choral singing, the HCC family has grown to include nine choral music education programs that serves more than 200 young singers from ages four to eighteen, including a 5-day summer camp for older choristers.

The Choir Administrative Assistant is a full-time position that plays a vital role in the ability to meet the needs of our members and reports directly to the Program & Data Manager.  Work will be accomplished largely from home, with required travel to activity sites, in order to provide support for day-to-day operations and  assist with the following administrative work:

 

  1. Preparation, organization, distribution and collection of HCC member packages.
  2. Ordering materials/supplies in coordination with the Program Manager.
  3. Monitoring and updating inventory in coordination with the Program & Data Manager and Artistic Staff.
  4. Distributing uniforms.
  5. Updating and organizing the donor and music library database.
  6. Updating member data in coordination with Program & Data Manager and HCC Development Officer.
  7. Create schedules/update program calendars in coordination with the Program Manager.
  8. Organize and prepare materials for upcoming events/performances with the Program Manager.
  9. Provide support to the Artistic Staff for rehearsals and performances in coordination with the Program Manager and volunteers.
  10. Other duties as assigned and mutually agreed upon.

  • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace Applications 

Must:

  • Possess some music literacy, and preferably choir knowledge and/or experience
  • Have a laptop and access to the internet.
  • Be available to work on evenings and weekends.
  • Have a vehicle to drive to activity/event sites and transport materials.
