Ramkey Communications, an essential service provider, is recruiting Telecommunication Network Maintenance/Service Technicians ($20 – 26/hr) to join our Grand River and London operations for rewarding, full-time, permanent employment.

Essential Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to comfortably work at heights and perform ladder work
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Willing to work over-time
• Willing to cross-train and learn new skills
• Have a positive attitude, able to take direction
• Willing to adhere to all company specific policies and regulations
• Willing to travel up to 100 kilometers for work

Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicle-mounted aerial device equipment
• Place steel strand for aerial cable construction
• Complete and maintain accurate as-built drawings
• Pull cable through duct and placement of Ground Level Boxes (GLB’s)
• Install aerial strand, down guys and anchors
• Operate the lashing machine and other lineman equipment for aerial cable and fiber
• Complete outside plant line construction to include audits, maintenance and installations
• Operate vibratory plow equipment, excavators, skid steers etc.
• Read and understand build prints and build plant according to the prints; Complete, maintain and read as-built drawings
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures or work in confined spaces such as manholes, service vaults and crawl spaces
