Located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Jayne Industries has taken great pride over the past 40 years in being the leader in our core business of engineering and manufacturing refractory anchoring systems. By maximizing our knowledge of industrial furnaces and heat-related industries, our business has transitioned into a multi-faceted company. To compliment our Refractory Anchoring Systems, we now include our custom fabricating division, our custom refractory services, and our full service machining division

Our satisfied customer base spans North America, including industries such as steelmaking, refinery and petrochemical, aggregates and cement, as well as engineering and automation service sectors

Jayne Industries is seeking experienced Welders for full-time AFTERNOON shift (3pm-130am Monday-Thursday)

Responsibilities of the Role:

-Assembly and weld of production units from jigs and fixtures

-Maintain all welding certifications in accordance with CWB welding qualifications

-Inspect product visually and dimensionally

-Ensure the timely production of work orders

-Produce a quality product which ensures customer satisfaction

-Complete daily operator maintenance checklist on welding machines used

-Maintain tools and machinery required to complete work orders in good condition

-Adhere to all safety standards in the maintenance and use of machines

Requirements for the Role:

-Proven experience as a welder (2-3 years experience preferred)

-Successful completion of a relevant college/trade program

-Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures

-Strong analytical and communications skills

-Organized and pays great attention to detail

-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

-Good physical coordination
