Solo Cable is currently seeking CAD Technicians to join our growing operations in Southwestern Ontario for permanent, full-time positions.

• Work focused in Southwestern Ontario – may extend to 200 kilometers
• Head Office – Brantford

Responsibilities:

• Design fiber optic networks while adhering to provincial, municipal, utility and client standards
• Develop/design layouts of Outside Plant Networks to service residents and businesses and determine solutions
• Complete fieldwork and designs in a timely fashion while delivering a high-quality solution package
• Coordinate and gather data using Geographic Information Systems or measurements by hand from the field and transfer essential information into AutoCAD designs
• Produce complete and compliant CAD drawings for submission to local jurisdictions to obtain applicable permits
• Complete as-builds and construction verification
• Develop inventory requirements from completed designs
• Analyse and solve various technical problems creatively and efficiently
• Track associated labour and inventory costs on construction projects
• Conduct site walks to collect data of all surface features and underground utility information necessary to support the preparation of the construction drawings
• Maintain an active role in technical surveying of property/work sites
