Job Description

Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, strives to enhance the quality of life for all who seek assistance and support in our community. Three Temporary Full Time Positions at Mary’s Place, Hotel Overflow Program:

CASE MANAGER

Hours of work: Up to 80 hours every 2 weeks
Ability to work up to a three-shift rotation including weekends & weekdays.

The successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and non-residential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment.

Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting women including abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use. Experience working in a residential setting is preferred. A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity is essential. A second language is an asset. Applicants also require a related post-secondary education and C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified). Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license is also an asset.
