We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Driller/Locator to join our Team in Brantford, servicing Southwestern Ontario. This is a permanent and full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on a Horizontal Direction Drilling Crew
- Install conduit and pulling cable/fiber
- Operate mini excavator and use power tools (power drills, concrete saws etc)
- Handle and maintain tools/materials by loading/unloading vehicles with supplies/equipment
- May need to use technical and diagnostic tools (cable locator, signal meter etc)
- Coordinate driller activities with driller. Provide information to complete drilling accurately and safely
- Connect proper pipes based on conduit plans
- Assist in removing all debris from work site
- Complete as Built Drawings
- Read and interpret plans and locates
- Complete drivers’ logbook and daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route and post trip)
- Complete a daily inspection on bore equipment prior to commencing work
- Complete maintenance repair reports, accident and/or incident reports
- Complete daily inspection on bore equipment prior to commencing work
- Follow safe work practices and procedures
