Liburdi Turbine Services provides mechanical and metallurgical engineering services specifically tailored for the gas turbine industry. This allows us to perform an independent analysis of problems and, where required, to modify or redesign components. Our expertise lies in the fields of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress analysis, metallurgy and mechanical design as they apply to aircraft and land based gas turbines. The company offers firm opportunities for career growth in an attractive but yet challenging technical environment. We are currently seeking candidates who are qualified for the role of Blender.
The role of Blender reports to the Manufacturing Manager. We have one (1) positionsavailable on our day shift (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm), two (2) positions available on our 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00am) and two (2) position available on our 3rd shift (Sunday to Friday, 11:00pm – 7:00am).
Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for recreating original geometric specifications of parts using a variety of methods.
- Responsible for blending materials.
Requirements & Prerequisites
Key Skill Requirements:
- Excellent hand eye coordination
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent fine manual dexterity is required
Key Education Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience working with small hand tools
- Experience grinding and prepping parts is required
- Experience with inspection tools (for example: Vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators) is required
