Equipment Operator for Bagging Machine
Job Description
We’re currently looking to add a new team member to our plant operations team to assist with the operation of our automated wood shavings bagging machines. Details regarding the position follow.
Position: Bagging Machine Operator (Full-Time, Permanent)
Starting Pay: $20/hour, increasing to $21/hour after probation
Overtime: Additional overtime opportunities may be available
Location: 2825 S Grimsby Rd 21, Smithville, ON L0R 2A0
Training Hours: Monday to Friday, Potentially 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Regular Shift (Post-Training): days or afternoons (7am-3pm or 3-midnight)
Occasional Saturdays: May be required
During training, you’ll work closely with an experienced operator to gain a solid understanding of our equipment. These training shifts will take place during the day shift potentially (7AM-3PM). After training, The hours could be day or afternoons and at least part of your shift will be completed independently, so we’re looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and confident working alone. Please note we are looking for someone who has availability for both shifts to mesh with operational needs.
This is a fast paced environment.
We’re especially interested in individuals who bring mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic. If you have experience in a production setting, and are comfortable operating and learning machinery, this could be a great fit.

Good command of the English language
Able to walk and stand for the entirety of the shift
Physical Abilities: Good manual dexterity: Able to bend, lift, twist repeatedly
