Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight, while adhering to all safety regulations.
Our bagging plant in Smithville screens and bags wood shavings. The equipment being utilized is mainly dry vans.
Drivers will be bunking in the truck during the week and expected home each weekend.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles for transport across various locations
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and maintenance activities
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Collaborate with warehouse or logistics teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
Experience
- Proven 3 years experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year cross border experience
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently and adhere to schedules in a timely manner
Aptitude/Competencies
- Flexible/versatile
- Ability to bunk in the truck during the week

Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and safely including electronic logs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties
- Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and delivery status
Skills
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety checks
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks related to freight handling and truck operating.

Pay is weekly. Part pay benefits after 3 months.

Current and valid Z Air brake endorsement
