Job Title: Sales EngineerĀ
Powder Coating Supply has been providing quality, cost effective solutions to support the Powder
paint industry for over 30 years. These solutions range from replacement parts from an extensive
inventory, service and repair of Manual / Automatic spray systems to full system design and
fabrication.
This position will support the company’s goal to continue to provide quality products on time while
maintaining high internal efficiency in order to provide low cost solutions in todays competitive
marketplace.
Scope of Work:
To Support all daily activities of the business while ensuring scheduled targets and delivery
commitments are met in a multi-component environment. Understanding customer needs and
determining product offerings to suit their requirements. The individual must be a responsible
self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. The right candidate will have the
opportunity to develop / enhance the role from a business and personal aspect as this role will focus
on developing existing customer relations as well as developing new business opportunities. The
primary focus will be on growth.
Major Responsibilities :
Sales / Marketing
Research and develop new business opportunities to achieve targeted growth. Work with existing and
new customers to create and design solutions that achieve the desired outcome. Provide detailed
sales presentations and technical expertise to potential business clients. Maintain strong customer
relations and post sales support to ensure product satisfaction and long term loyalty.
Engineering
Provide turn key solutions including full costing and engineering specifications, drawings and
layouts utilizing various software packages including AutoCAD. Provide pre-sales technical support and
guidance showcasing product functionality and benefits. Translate detailed requirements to various
vendors while ensuring customer timelines are maintained. Investigate / develop alternate
methods to reduce costs while maintaining product integrity.
Website Co-ordination
Work with 3rd party group to oversee the development and maintenance of the company’s website.
Determine and maintain website content. Monitor performance and make recommendations to
ensure optimization.
***wages are 60 to 85K depending upon experience, etc***
Requirements & Prerequisites
Required Skills and Qualifications
College Diploma / University Degree in Engineering
Minimum 2 years experience as a Sales Engineer or similar technical sales role.
Experience with AutoCAD and other computer software packages
Strong technical background with a solid understanding of fabrication/ manufacturing processes
Demonstrated experience in presenting technical products and services to customers.
Willingness to travel as required.
