Job Description
Located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Jayne Industries has taken great pride over the past 40 years in being the leader in our core business of engineering and manufacturing refractory anchoring systems. By maximizing our knowledge of industrial furnaces and heat-related industries, our business has transitioned into a multi-faceted company. To compliment our Refractory Anchoring Systems, we now include our custom fabricating division, our custom refractory services, and our full service machining division.
Jayne Industries Inc is currently seeking a full time-day shift: Laser Programmer/Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
– Operate CNC Fiber laser machine to cut, shape, and form metal materials according to specifications
– Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure proper cutting parameters
– Monitor machine operation, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency
– Record all dimensions as machined on drawings
– Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machine to manager
– Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
– Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
– Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
– Support monthly inventory counts
– Assist with other tasks, projects and departments as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours:
– 40 per week

Requirements & Prerequisites
Qualifications:
– Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operation
– AutoCAD LT experience
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
– Experience with power tools, milling machines, and other machining equipment
– Proficient in basic math calculations and measurements using calipers and other measuring tools
– Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
– Familiarity with CNC programming is preferred
– Trumpf Fiber Laser experience is an asset
– Forklift and overhead crane experience (2years)
