Classification: Part Time Temporary. 4 FTE; 2 days per week (1 year contract); Union

Salary Range:   As per Band 5:  $56,121.00 – 66,814.00 per annum

Starting Date:  As soon as possible

We are currently seeking a temporary Part Time Data Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Hamilton.  This position is scheduled as .4 FTE; 2 days per week. This position is for a one-year contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB DUTIES

  • Compiles and reports statistics for quarterly reporting to the Finance Director; examines data for accuracy as needed.
  • Creates reports to extract data as needed using data assurance tools, including but not limited to: SQL queries, Cognos, report writing tools and other provincial tools; examines reports for accuracy as needed.
  • Provides support to the Quality Assurance department in the completion of data requests; examines data for accuracy as needed.
  • Coordinates work with supervisor and follows the direction of the supervisor after consultation when required.
  • Completes mandatory training and participates in ongoing agency training.
  • Demonstrates leadership and a commitment to the principles of anti-oppressive practices and anti-racism based on justice, fairness, equity, respect of the beliefs and traditions of others.
  • Complies with agency Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Health and Safety Act, and regulations.
  • Committed to the Society’s mission and vision.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Community college diploma in information technology or related program
  • 3-5 years’ experience of end user support for the following applications: SQL SERVER, and Cognos, PowerBI
  • 3-5 year’ experience with E-Forms, Caseworks is preferred
  • A minimum of three years’ experience using Quality Assurance tools including Microsoft SQL server, and Cognos.
  • Ability to work independently on time sensitive tasks with minimum direction.
  • Excellent clerical, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to work within a highly charged environment with confidential data.
  • Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office and proprietary child welfare systems and programs.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to, and work ethic in leadership and role models behaviours that demonstrates the Mission, Vision and Values of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with Oracle tools would be an asset
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset.
  • Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
  • Knowledge and commitment to anti-oppressive/anti-racist philosophy.

  • Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office and proprietary child welfare systems and programs.

  • At the time of hire, documents required will include:
    • Police clearance
    • Provincial Child Protection Record Check
    • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and acceptable drivers abstract.
