Required Skills & Abilities

• Working in a high pace environment while staying mindful of safety and quality
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving project Safety performance
• Hand and foot coordination: You must coordinate movements of your hands and feet in order to guide modules and specified hardware into constricted locations
• Able to measure height, width, length, and other proportions
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork: You must be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites.
• Critical thinking: Your job will require that you identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems in order to choose the one that is most likely to be successful and cost-effective.
• Ability to work in a production environment where daily production goals are set, evaluated and optimized
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Comfortable working in an environment with high construction equipment traffic.
• Able to take and follow instructions and/or direction from supervisors
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule

Qualifications

• Basic skills and knowledge of construction
• Minimum one year experience in a related field
• WHMIS
• Canadian citizenship

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers
• Ability to work in hot and cold weather
• Heavy lifting of 50-60 pounds is required. Exertion of up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common mechanical tools
