Job Description

We are looking for professional Line Cooks to prepare food to the chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu.

Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate(s) will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and day-to-day operations.

ABOUT US

Flamborough Hills Golf Club is a 27-hole championship course located in Hamilton. Never before has a public golf course in Hamilton felt so welcoming and friendly! All the amenities you would expect to see at a private golf club are found here at Flamborough Hills Golf Club. We host tournaments, weddings, events and have a full-service restaurant located within the clubhouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow the executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, members and customers

JOB TYPES

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Part-time: 2-4 shifts per week, 20-30 hours

Full-time: 4-5 shifts per week, 30-40 hours

SALARY

$19-$22 per hour

Willing to pay more based on experience.

Requirements & Prerequisites

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with the industry’s best practices
  • Culinary school diploma is preferred but not required
