Job Description
- In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of young mothers and their children living at Regina’s Place – Youth Services. Services to clients include:
- Assessment, crisis prevention and intervention
- Supportive counseling, education, advocacy, social/recreational programming
- Life skills teaching i.e. cooking and linkages with other community services
- InterRai assessments and supporting the overall health and wellbeing of Young Moms and their children
- Provide individualized support services to clients in the home setting

Requirements & Prerequisites
Qualifications
- SSW or CYW
- Candidates for the above position will be knowledgeable of and have experience working with a range of issues impacting single parent families including homelessness, violence against women and children, immigration, poverty, mental illness and substance use
- Must have an understanding and be comfortable working from a client-centred approach
- Experience working in a transitional housing/residential setting is preferred
- Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
- Hours: rotation of days and afternoons & 1 weekend per month
- Certification in CPR or a willingness to be certified is also required
- A valid driver’s license is also required.
