Warehouse Associate Lead Hand
Job Description
Our growing business is looking for a Dedicated Reliable Warehouse Associate for our Hamilton, Ontario Warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for many of the daily operations of the facility.
Responsibilities
• Picking parts and organizing orders/product on dock to be shipped.
• Shipping (skidding, wrapping skids). Work with local couriers and transport companies to get product out to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse and ensures facility is neat and tidy at all times
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by adhering to security and safety procedures and protocols.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and willing to unload cargo containers.
• Working with the order desk to ensure orders are filled, picked and shipped on schedule.
Skills / Education
• Minimum 4+ year’s warehouse experience.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Moderate computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)
• Self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Leadership abilities, working and directing others
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and great workmanship
• Post-Secondary Diploma preferred
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday daytime work schedule.
We offer a competitive wage and benefit package. Offering between $18.96 during probation to $20.46.
