Located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Jayne Industries has taken great pride over the past 40 years in being the leader in our core business of engineering and manufacturing refractory anchoring systems. By maximizing our knowledge of industrial furnaces and heat-related industries, our business has transitioned into a multi-faceted company. To compliment our Refractory Anchoring Systems, we now include our custom fabricating division, our custom refractory services, and our full service machining division

Our satisfied customer base spans North America, including industries such as steelmaking, refinery and petrochemical, aggregates and cement, as well as engineering and automation service sectors

Jayne Industries is seeking a Junior Welder/General Laborer to join our team working full time day shift hours at our Plant in Stoney Creek

Responsibilities of the Role:

– Assist in the assembly and welding of various products

-Assist in the operation of various machines throughout the workshop

-Assist in loading and unloading materials from delivery truck

-Use power tools and machinery when needed

-Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks

-Assist welders, fitters, machine operators, and other trades workers on-site

Requirements for the Role:

-Experience as a welder (minimum 1 year)

-Successful completion of a relevant college/trade program

-Forklift Operator Certificate, preferred

-Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures

-Strong work ethic

-Strong analytical and communications skills

-Organized and pays great attention to detail

-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

-Good physical coordination
