Job Description

Located in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Jayne Industries has taken great pride over the past 40 years in being the leader in our core business of engineering and manufacturing refractory anchoring systems. By maximizing our knowledge of industrial furnaces and heat-related industries, our business has transitioned into a multi-faceted company. To compliment our Refractory Anchoring Systems, we now include our custom fabricating division, our custom refractory services, and our full service machining division.

Our satisfied customer base spans North America, including industries such as steel making, refinery and petrochemical, aggregates and cement, as well as engineering and automation service sectors.

Jayne Industries is currently seeking a full time Brake Press Operator to work days/afternoons

Responsibilities of the Role

· Set-up tooling according to embedded offline programs and origin machines

· Operate break press machine to shape various types of metal

· Maintain break press by changing oil and filters to keep machine in working order

· Read and follow detailed blueprints and schematics

Inspect form lengths and angles

Adhere to rules and regulations of the company with emphasis on safety protocols

Requirements for the Role

· 2-3 years experience working in a fast paced manufacturing setting

-Working knowledge of general forming practice

-CNC Brake Press experience is considered an asset

· Able to lift 50 lbs; physically fit

· Possesses analytical skills to monitor work processes

· Comfortable with standing for long periods of time
