Calibration Technician
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration on various testing machines and equipment
- Complete maintenance and calibration of equipment sent into our shop
- Notify and schedule upcoming jobs with local customers
- Organize and book out of province jobs
- Help customers over the phone with troubleshooting equipment and other issues
- Quote and source parts for customers as required
- Fill out calibration worksheets correctly and neatly
- Follow customer health and safety policies while on job sites
- Understand and follow various ASTM and CSA methods
- Perform other duties as required

Salary $38,000 to $42,000 per year
Requirements & Prerequisites
What we are looking for
- Competent understanding of the English language with good written and verbal communication
- Strong mathematical skills are essential
- Possess strong computer skills and be proficient in MS office suite
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle
- Must be bondable
- Be able to enter the United States Legally for occasional training seminars
- Must work well with little to no supervision as well as in a team environment
- Have the ability to lift 70lbs
- Willing to travel throughout Canada – approximately 12 weeks per year at a maximum of 2 weeks at a time
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulics is an asset
